Latin American Pollen Database
The Latin American Pollen Database (LAPD) includes data from stratigraphic contexts and from modern surface samples from the Central-America, the Caribbean and South-America. From a total of 29 countries, the LAPD now counts over 1100 pollen sites. Thanks to fundings from the Hugo-de-Vries Fonds - The Netherlands, the LAPD was updated and is currently managed by Suzette G.A. Flantua from the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED), University of Amsterdam.
The LAPD currently represents an inventory of all LA pollen sites, with their metadata on site details, researchers and time covered by the pollen data. An advisory board wlll soon be set up, to further extend the LAPD and for quality control.
